Ashley Olsen Spills Her Secrets

When Ashley & Mary Kate was first introduced to us years ago on the popular tv show "FULL HOUSE" I can honestly say I wasn't a big fan. But as the girl branched out and started to blossom into young adults I started to take noticed. Both girls have their own style, a style many has called rag dolls, homeless bag ladies, or bohemian chic. But I always called THE OLSEN GIRLS-STYLE ICONS. I have always been intrigued with what would they be photographed next. And when they came out with their own clothing line THE ROW, I knew I had to find the look book of the collection or better yet got to New York to shop at THE ROW. Their clothes do, in fact, stand on their own. They are sophisticated, elegant, versatile, understated. In a way, it’s a different tween act—idols to both goofy little girls and snotty fashion ladies. And for all their riches, it’s what they wanted.

In this month issue of Marie Claire, Ashley Olsen speaks candid about her personal style and what's in her closet. I picked out my favorites but more can be viewed in the magazine or online

Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami

Last night's episode was hilarious! I'll start with the blind date Kourtney went on with the Latin hottie. He was gorgeous, but too shy and quiet which equals boring. I totally felt Kourt's pain. Ill probably miss Scott too after that date.

On to Miss Kimmie. Comical is all I have to say. She was so wasted, I couldn't stop laughing. Why in the world would they let her mix drinks like that. She reminded me so much of myself. I'm the "non drinker" in the group. I usually have a max of 2 drinks and I'm pretty much done, and every time I try to exceed that number, I'm a total and utter hot mess. However, the whole scene was comedy at its best. I'll be tuned in next week.

Lunch with Friends and Family

Yesterday I went to lunch with my mom, B, Micheal, and the kids at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville in the French Quarter. I haven't seen B in over a month since she has been on tour with L' Oreal, so we had a lot of catching up to do. We ordered these delicious nachos which were so huge, that we all left with doggie bags. I don't what we were thinking ordering all that food, but no one wanted to share because they are just that good. I definitely blew my diet yesterday. We always have such a good time when we all get together. Its like a bunch of high schoolers laughing, giggling and talking about everything, and I mean everything. I know the kids are thinking what is wrong with those two, do they ever shut up? We are like the modern day Lucy and Ethel or Thelma and Louise, just hilarious. After lunch we browsed the French Market a bit and then headed home. Well we were all supposed to be heading home, but me and my mom went got cupcakes and did some more shopping and B and her family went running and walking to burn off all those nachos. Those goody two-shoes, lol. Anyhow, I had a great time yesterday especially when I'm hanging out with those I love.

R.I.P. DJ AM

This morning I was truly saddened and shocked by the news that DJ AM had passed, after surviving that horrific plane crash last year with Travis Barker. My prayers go out to his family and friends having to cope with lost of a man who had beat the odds in more ways than one. He was truly talented and will be missed. RIP DJ AM.

Blame It On The Alcohol Tour

Last night me and the BF went to catch the Jamie Foxx concert at the New Orleans Arena. I was pleasantly surprised at how much of a show Mr. Foxx put on, wasn't anything I expected. He was really amped the entire performance. I truly enjoyed myself despite not knowing many of the songs. His comedy segments were also on point, but that was to be expected. DJ Irie kept the crowd rocking between set changes, he even did a lil west coast crypt walking along with Jamie. New Orleans really showed him love, according to him. We were the biggest crowd he has had since the tour started. He also donated half the proceeds to Brad Pitt's rebuilding of the lower 9th ward. Overall, pretty decent show. Next time Ill need to listen to the albums before going.

COOL GIRLS ROCKS PINK

written by: Celebrity Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis

The Pink Lady pledge is to act cool, to look cool, and to be cool…’til death to us part, think PINK NAIL POLISH. If you haven’t noticed by now, the summer nail color for both hands and feet is PINK. Bright bold pink, almost neon pink, is getting used on some of our favorite cool celebs. Last week singer Cassie rocked long pink nails and the gorgeous Kardashian girls all rocked pink on the Kourtney & Khloe takes Miami show. Kim Kardashian was also a pink lady at Celebrity hair stylist Ken Paves birthday party with her pink nails.

While in Miami last week and on my makeup tour, I had to get in on this summer trend since pink is my favorite color. I decided on my day off to pamper my nails in go get them painted pink. My two favorite nail colors I have fallen in love with are Fire Candle by PRITI nails and Hot Girls by M2M nail polish. PRITI is a non-toxic nail polish line that is fast drying, and chip resistant. M2M, owned by Celebrity Manicurist Myrith Leon-McComark made sure this luxury polish was fun, bold and has a high gloss. You have to try them both because they look really great on. I usually don’t do well with nail polish because they always seems to chip but both products gave awesome shine and lasted for a little over a week. And for me and that’s a long time because I am so rough on my hands. So if you want to be a PINK LADY, think PINK!

Remembering Aaliyah

I can't believe its been eight years since the passing of the beautiful and talented Aaliyah. I remember it like it was just yesterday. Just thinking of that day sends chills down my spine. I was sleeping and suddenly woke up hearing the TV in the background saying a plane has went down in the Bahamas and it is believed to be carrying Aaliyah and her entourage. I shook it off and went back to sleep. Awakening the next morning, I realized I wasn't dreaming that night, but my nightmare was all too real. Aaliyah was dead and much too soon. She was one of those people who not only touched you through her music, but just the mere presence of her made you see just how special of an individual she was. Her style was like no other and even now can never can be duplicated. I still miss her and her legacy will live on in the hearts of many forever. RIP

I'M SAD

Natalie my old assistant I think is a little upset with me that I can't take an upcoming assignment. Radio Personality Downtown Lesli Brown from 102.9 fm needs me to do her makeup. I am DOWNTOWN LESLI BROWN personal makeup artist. Just received a text that she needs me but the dates interfere with my L'OREAL tour dates. Sorry Downtown Lesli Brown that I won't be able to do your makeup for your new show on UPN. You know if I was not on tour I would have been honor to do your makeup. If the producer wanna change the date and wait 2 more days then I could do it that would be great but who am I to ask, right:)

Well, I am going to bed now, tired an a little upset that I can't be there for her...SUCKS!

GOODIES:CAFE BUSTELO & L'OREAL

Michael texted me good news today. I received some goodies today in he knows how much I LOVE goodies. Not only did I get 1 package but I received 2 nice packages today. One from CAFE BUSTELO and the other from LOREAL.

Sorry that the pic is not dark its from a camera phone. But look how much coffee they sent over. I will be in NOLA on Wednesday night and I have a Thursday gig at 5am with the Manning family. I know its a few of them so I am not sure which ball player or players that I will be working with I just know I have enough product from CAFE BUSTELO to do the trick.

THANKS CAFE BUSTELO & LOREAL for the treats.

Weekend Shopping

This weekend was a quiet one, but I got some much needed fall shopping done. I decided to start adding this fall's must-haves to my wardrobe. I really like the Boyfriend Blazer look, so I got two reasonably priced ones. They are sooo cute and go great with jeans, leggings, pretty much everything. I also got some boots and cute lil accessories like hats and scarves. Still not done, but at least it was start in the right direction.
I also picked up the final book to the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn. This book was by far the best. I completed it within 2 days. So many twists and surprises far beyond anything I expected. I sure hope the rest of the movies live up to the great writing done by Mrs. Stephenie Meyer.
After all my shopping and reading was done, I decided to order a movie on demand. I decided on The Uninvited. I was completely surprised by this one. It actually turned out to be a pretty decent movie. I was utterly impressed by the big twist in the movie, never expected it at all. Overall the weekend was nice and peaceful like I like every once and a while. Hope you guys had a good one.

See Ya!!!!

I am still getting write up's from working with ED HARDY & TRUE RELIGION during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim. I LOVE THEM ALL...keep them coming. Thanks NY STYLE TIMES for supporting me, it means a lot.

Ed Hardy Rocks Miami with Haute Rock & Roll Looks
Saturday, August 15, 2009
By admin at NY STYLE TIMES

Ed Hardy’s swimwear looks were only the secondary feature next to the hair and makeup of the show. The make up and hair were brought to life by celebrity hair and makeup artist, Brandy Gomez-Duplessis. Brining back the mullet to the 10th power with a makeup palette that rivaled the sparkle of diamonds and rubies, the models hit the runway full tilt!

Nothing gives a woman a more powerful feeling then being glitzed and glamorized so they can strut their stuff on the runway in their skivvies no doubt. The swimwear was secondary at best to the hair and makeup by Brandy Gomez-Dulessis. Twisted and tied puffed up and sprayed down was all that was going on back stage. Models were glazed over in fun colors, sparkles and bright hues. This was something Gomez-Duplessis reserved for the Ed Hardy show. She had done and NBC Telecast and the True Religion show earlier that day. She was just looking to have a little fun with such a fun and colorful brand.

L'OREAL TOUR:MILWAUKEE CREAM PUFFS

Since we have been in town all we have heard the locals speak about were the "MILWAUKEE CREAM PUFFS, TURKEY LEGS, CORN ON A STICK, & CHOCOLATE COVERED BACON". So we seeked them out and let me tell you everything was great except for the bacon. The cream puffs are the reason why I gained my weight back. I love sweets and they were amazing.

L'OREAL TOUR:HANGING OUT AT FAIR

Friday night we wanted to do what the locals do so we decided to hangout at the fair. We had so much fun. This is my crew "3 SHAWTY'S & A VIP"...LOL

Rain, Rain Go Away

It is storming like crazy today. If I didn't know any better, I would swear I needed to evacuate because a hurricane was near. Anyhow, I left work early, because I hate being stuck at work on rainy days. Got a chance to finish Eclipse finally. It was a good read and had me crying at the end. I don't know about yall, but I'm a sucker for love stories. I can finally finish the saga and start reading The Breaking Dawn all before New Moon hits theaters. I can't wait!!!! I feel like Bella, I'm torn between team Edward and team Jacob. Hell, I'm sticking with Edward, lol. Hope the rain slacks up soon so I can get this weekend started. Have a good weekend and TGIF!!!

See Ya!!!

TOUR:L'OREAL THURSDAY NIGHT

Thursday night some of us L'OREAL Consultants were in need of relaxing our feet's. But before heading back to the hotel Cassie wanted cotton candy for dinner...I know right? The rest of us just wanted to get back so we could soak our feet. We all ran up to the room dropped our bags on the floor grabbed the wine, coolers and snacks. We headed downstairs to the pool and just relaxed and laughed about our day. The pics of my swollen feet is the second day with it looking like elephant woman:)
