Shoe Envy: Christian Louboutin

Loving these Christian Louboutin Ambertina Bejeweled Sandals. A great party shoe with its shiny, satin and leather straps and bejeweled heel. Just the right amount of glitz for the sassy side of you. Costing a pretty penny at $2,395.00, but if you don't mind eating PB & J for the month, hey why not ;)!!!

Just had to add this Marianna Rider Fur Tote by Mr. Louboutin also. This bag is to die for!!!!! Great winter accessory made from brown, natural coyote fur and silver chain straps. Sorry PETA but the bag is hawt!!!!!

    See ya!!!

    Fierce Barbarella Bridal Makeup

The heavy black half moon liner that was a hit at the Valentino s/s show, has now made it’s way down the aisle for brides. The look created gives an appearance of dark eye shadow, but this high impact liner is being created with using a cream eye liner or kohl pencil. This makeup look is definitely not traditional bridal makeup, but nowadays what bride is. The main attraction on this bride will be the seductive eyes
To get this dramatic bold eye, start out with applying a primer on the lid to keep the eyeliner in place. Apply the cream liner on the entire lid stopping just above the crease of the eye. I used my favorite L’OREAL HIP cream truth eyeliner in black. I like to apply it with a flat stiff brush then going back over it using my fingers to soften the look. Once it is well blended, I go back and line the eyes with a slanted eyeliner brush to give the eye a shape. Here you can do a round shape or the popular winged shape.
To give a more Barbella look add your favorite volume mascara (L’OREAL Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black) and a full set of lashes. On the lips, I prefer going with a very sheer lip color in pink or peach (Josie Maran lip gloss in Confession). I decided to opt for using a lip pencil because I wanted to keep the lips soft.
How glamxurious of a bride you are!

Beautiful Hair Ideas for the Summer Bride

Summer brides are carefree and set trends with their effortless hair styles. The hair they wear gives you a glimpse into their personality. Below are cool, wearable looks any destination bride can achieve on her own or with the help of a professional. Whichever gorgeous hair-do you wear, your mane will still look put together when all of the hired paparazzi takes notice.

To create the natural tousled beach look with your highlighted long layers, spray on Rene’ Furterer Naturia dry shampoo, let it rest a minute and mists hair with Sally Hershberger Shagg spray. Then finger comb to give it that tousled, just rolled out of bed look.

To achieve the new, great breakout trend, the imperfect side braid, on your wedding day, start by parting the hair on the opposite side of how it falls naturally. Mist the top of the hair with John Master Organics Sea Mist. Gather the hair into a low side ponytail and plait it, securing the ends with a clear elastic rubber band. Finish the ends by allowing a few pieces to come out of the elastic.

On the runway, hair stylist Guido Palau creates many soft, effortless and elegant buns. The classic ballerina bun works best on light to medium hair that falls to the neckline or longer. This is a great look for a summer bride who’s wearing a strapless dress. Very lightly, spritz the hair with Redken Full Volume Amplifier, back brush with a soft brush and mist with L’OREAL Elnet Satin Hairspray. Rough up the hair and then secure with hairpins or your favorite hair comb.

Side pinned roll works best on straight or wavy shoulder length hair. Spritz hair with John Frieda Frizz-Ease Dream Curl spray. Parting strands down the center and securing on the sides is a sexy way to go. Gather hair into a low pony and pull locks over and under, wrapping until a messy roll is formed. Use pins to hold the shape and a vibrant tropical hibiscus flower if you’re getting married on the beach.

Faux bob works best for shoulder length or longer layered hair. This look is flirty for an evening wedding on a hot summer night. To play up the glamorous, classic look add a Swarovski crystal barrette or a vintage brooch right out of your jewelry box.

    Essence Music Festival: 3rd Day

Some of the Essence.com staff hanging out in the Belvedere VIP Music Lounge @belvedere_vodka was one highlight. After 4 days of working hard and long hours we just wanted to all hangout amongst each other and just have a great time. Usually, everybody work so hard that we don't get to enjoy the Essence Music Festival but this time it was amazing. We ended the late night by going to the wrap party with all of the staff of Essence Magazine. We all said our good-byes and the crew returns back to New York to start planning for 2011.

Today's highlight was doing makeup on the amazing award winning actress Victoria Rowell @victoriarowell Not only is she a soap opera icon but an author of "Secrets Of A Soap Opera Diva" and "The Women Who Raised Me" . Victoria also has a single "Stink of Blood with a Pinesol Chasah" available on ITUNES. She gave the audience a sample on the Essence Cyber Lounge stage.

Another powerful lady I got to work with was Entrepreneur and author Melissa Dawn Johnson @brandme a Global Branding and Personal Transformation Strategist. She offer so many great tips while on stage so if anyone wants to know how to brand themselves I suggest purchasing her book "Brand Me: Make Your Mark: Turn Passion Into Profit". Wasn't able to get pictures with Melissa sometimes it's hard when working back 2 back, having to clean brushes, in stay on time. But she looked amazing.

    Pre-Essence Music Festival

I started my EMF weekend doing makeup on one of the ladies from Essence Magazine. When I was told that Mikki Taylor, Editor-at-Large requested me once again I was ecstatic. She needed makeup for the private reception on Thursday evening. Mikki is an icon, a jet setter, an insightful visionary, an industry leader, a phenomenal woman, and most of all she oozes beauty.
The highlight of the evening was receiving a personal call from Mikki to return back to the hotel. She invited up the penthouse to chat amongst friends. It was one of the best experiences ever.
There have been many times when people will  say to me, "why weren't you in the club?" or "we didn't see you backstage". But where I was that evening,  is where a person in my career should have been and was privileged to be. This is how I kicked off my...ESSENCE MUSIC FESTIVAL.
