My New York Bride

Today's Jewish wedding was amazing, I loved all of the rituals and the tradition that takes place during the wedding ceremony. My New York bride Kelly wore a beautiful cream lace fitted dress and a fab cream bird cage veil with a flower and ostrich feathers. Kelly hired me for all day to do makeup on her, the wedding party and her family.

Because Kelly is a strawberry blonde I kept her makeup very similar to colors that I would used on a ginger (redhead). I worked with Kelly before so I already knew what I was going to do with her makeup. Her only request was that she wanted to be airbrushed.
*OCC Airbrush makeup; foundation & blush
*L'OREAL PARIS HIP eyeshadow duo in sassy
*L'OREAL PARIS HIP cream eyeliner in brown
*L'OREAL PARIS colour riche lipstick in peach fuzz
*NYX Cosmetics white eye pencil
*Ardell individual eyelashes in soft brown

Brides always say when they are selecting the bridesmaids dresses that they like to select a dress the bridesmaids could wear on a later date. Well the dress Kelly chose for her girls were a red & white floral cocktail dress that is perfect for any spring or summer day. Very cute and can be worn with a flat shoe or cute sandals. All of the men wore a tan suede kittel on their head. I love how the chuppah was decorated with twigs and a hint of sage fabric. The ketubah was hand made on a very delicate beautiful fabric. During the seven blessings the rabbi and the family all recited it together. Of course the ending of the ceremony was done with the breaking of the glass and a shout of "Mazel Tov". The bride and groom went to the yichud room, the only place I could not follow her to :))) The Mitzvah dance was fun to watch. I watched from a distance to take it all in. Kelly was very sweet and made sure that I was seated at the formal dinner with her guest. I sat at table 11, a family that was seated at the table made my day by saying I looked like Janet Jackson:))) my favorite artist all time. At 10:30pm I was done for the evening.

I guess the guest loved my work because I ran out of business cards. A lot of the ladies wanted my card to book me next year for weddings in New York, Washington D.C., Miami, and Ohio.

Glam Up Your Lashes

As little girls, we have all watched our mothers in the mirror meticulously tending to her lashes with an eyelash curler. Every bride wants to look glamxurious on their wedding day to help widen their eyes and enhance their natural lashes. Whether she’s getting married in the morning or the evening, in the church or on a beach, a little pop is what every bride wants when it comes to their makeup.

There are so many varieties of lashes on the market; strips, individual, clusters, minx, and semi permanent. Fake lashes are available in many colors, lengths, shapes and sizes. The two main lash colors are black and soft brown. The great thing about these inexpensive gems is that they can be reused. Just store them in their original packaging to help retain their shape.

A bride’s eyes tell the story of her wedding, and lashes accentuate that memorable tale. A wedding is the whimsical fantasy for all women and what bride is complete without her bold beautiful lashes. Here are the key items you will need to apply these great finishers.

To apply your fake eyelashes you will need the following items;

Fake eyelashes
Eyelash glue
Small scissors
Tweezers
Mascara

Stephanie Jordan commercial

New Orleans Jazz Singer Stephanie Jordan shot her Chip Forstall commercial today at Generations Hall. The commercial was directed by Michael Campbell.

Stephanie wanted a nail color for her nails that would look great on tv. Out of my makeup kit I gave her Priti NYC one of my favorite nail polish color called "hard water lily", a shimmering champagne color that looks great on all skin tones.

Justin Bieber Fever

Justin Bieber Fever has enter my home...every since my daughter shadow me on an assignment for the BET Haiti Benefit Concert in Miami in February she has been having Justin Bieber Fever. When she saw his name of my list of the talent that was getting makeup and then invited to watch JB during rehearsal with her Miami gal pal Ana Suite it been crazy in our home.

Today I get a call from one of my FAB girl Michelle Bella wanting to know if my daughter would like to attend the KIIS Wango Tango concert in Los Angeles to see Justin Bieber and many others music artists. I haven't told her yet she is getting pamper for her prom on tomorrow so I when I do tell her I know our home will never be the same.

I do think it's cute cuz my boy band crush was and still is New Kids On The Block!

RHONJ Season 2

I'm so glad that the RHONJ are back for a second season. This was by far the best of the Housewives series' for me. Season one ended with a lot of drama and season two seems to pick up right where they left off. Jacquelyn's little boy is soooo precious and I cant wait to see Theresa's lil girl. If she is anything like the other three, she going to be cute as a button with lots of sass. The first episode was a little bland, not so much drama, but you can definitely tell the drama is coming and a sh*tload of it.
Carolyn's husband looks amazing with his weight loss and you can tell Carolyn is tickled pink about her husband and his new body. Dina was a tad bit too quiet this episode, and with the absence of her husband and daughter, I wonder just how much are we going to see of Dina and to what capacity? Jaquelyn still is to trusting, but she does appear to have grown some balls this season, so its going to be interesting to see how she and Danielle duke it out since they are back on the outs. Theresa is the same ole Theresa and I just love her spunk. Danielle, poor Danielle. I truly hope for her sake she is acting, because if not, this lady is f***ing nuts, and I mean certifiable. She needs meds and lots of them, or better yet she may need to get off the meds. Her actions are just down right deplorable and for your children to have more sense than you, child please. I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks after all. Can't wait for more of the action because this is going to get interesting!

He's Baaaackkkkk!!!!!

Darren Sharper is officially back home and has resigned for another year with the New Orleans Saints. I'm so happy to have him back (me and every woman that is and the rest of the Who Dat Nation), not just for the eye candy but for all the hard work he has put in to get us that Superbowl ring. Now we just need to square away a few other contracts with some of our key players and we'll be on to TWO DAT!!!! Looking forward to seeing that Sharper Shake in 2010-2011.

See Ya!!!!
