Congrats to Khloe K

Congrats are in order for my favorite dashing doll, Khloe! She and Lamar Odom have made it official. Reports have been buzzing that the wedding is a fake, but a ceremony actually took place yesterday evening. All I have to say is if Khloe likes it, I love it. Congrats again to Khloe. She looked beautiful by the way and I love her dress.

Weight Loss

I'm officially back on my weight loss journey. After losing 15 lbs, I have decided that I want to lose between 7-10 more lbs. I hope I can do this rather quickly, at least by Thanksgiving, because I sure don't want to miss out on the Thanksgiving feast. I start today, so let the weight loss begin. Wish me luck!

FAME

Last night I went to see the screening of FAME. I used to love this show back in the day and was excited to see it on the big screen. I have never seen the original version so I really can't compare. It was good, but it didn't live up to my expectations. Something was missing. I will say Naturi Naughton did well. I didn't think she could act after watching the Biggie movie, but she pulled it off. This role was definitely a better look for her. I loved the appearances by Debbie Allen, Bebe Neuwirth, Megan Mullally, Kelsey Grammar, and Charles Dutton. Overall it was good so go check it out. FAME hits theaters tomorrow.

RIP Patrick Swayze

I was so disheartened last night when I heard the news about Patrick Swayze. After having an enjoyable dinner with B, I came home to the sad news that Patrick had lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Cancer has taken so many lives, including my grandmother, so my prayers go out to his family and all the people who have lost someone to this disease. RIP Mr. Swayze.

VMA's Fashion Highlights

Here are some of last night's fashion's that made lol :).

VMA's 2009

So lets just say this year's VMA's was a doozy. From memorable and heart warming tributes to showstopping and somewhat scary performances, to just utter ignorance, the VMA's had it all.
Lets begin with the opening act. Now this is what I call a tribute to the KING OF POP, MJ. Madonna's speech was touching, but the dancing was what made the moment. All the performances were just phenomenal. Choreography was on point! I even saw some familiar faces paying homage, Ms. Laurie Ann Gibson and Chris Judd. When Janet came out and did the Scream number, my eyes were literally overflowing with tears. That was a proud moment for me. I felt like I had given birth to this strong and endearing woman. What she did, I probably would never been able to do, so I applaud her. She killed that performance!!! Kudos Ms. Jackson.
On to the performances that stood out. Bey's performance was killer and I was loving the sequence body suit. Just jaw dropping. "Put yo hand in his face", love it, lol!! Pink's, was another performance I loved. The acrobatic skill and the stamina this woman processes is amazing! Very unique and different. And Speaking of unique and different, Lady Gaga, oh Lady Gaga. Don't get me wrong, I love her music, but this performance and hell her different looks, just scared the sh** out of me. Why is she hanging with blood dripping, what is this red getup covering your entire face, hell what is the Eskimo, scarecrow looking number? Just confused , just confused by it all. Taylor Swift did a great job as well. especially after what she just encountered.

Drum roll please. If they were giving out awards for the most ignorant and wtf moment female and male nominees, Kayne and Lil Mama would be hands down the winners. Kayne leave the henny alone please darling. Obviously you forgot you were attending an award show. My mouth literally hit the floor when this fool took the mic away from Taylor Swift and said, " Hey Taylor, I'm really happy for you and I will give you the mic back when I'm finished, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time." WTF and this fool actually gives her the mic back. Do you really think she has something left to say after that buffoonery? She only 19 and the sweetest kid and you do that to her on live TV, in front of millions. Can you say azzhole. And that apology was medicore to say the least. Please come better than that Kayne. Kudos to Bey for allowing Taylor to have her moment. Such a classy act, that's why I love my girl Bey.

And Lil Mama, who invited you on stage during the Jay-Z performance. He and Alicia were killing this song, which is my fav off the Blueprint 3, and then she shows up and injects her foolishness onto the moment. Oh no mam, please go back where you belong, I think ABDC is calling. The funny part was when Hov patted Lil Mama on the leg to fall back and even threw in a quick joke, saying, "You T-Paining right now," but to no avail she remained. He should have free styled her azz off the stage.
Lots of good, weird, and oh hell noo moments. I was throughouly entertained.

See Ya!!

BOURJOIS Effect 3D Lip Gloss

I was lucky to get my hand on Bourjois Effect 3D Max lipgloss in color Sunny Beige. Let me tell you, this item gives that high shine it promises, that the gloss is so shining I had to wear shades. I do like the shimmering smooth texture it gives and I find the applicator was very easy to apply the lip gloss. I do look forward to trying all shades on my clients in fashion shows.

The lipgloss Effect 3D Max in eight radiant shades: soft coral, golden rose, shining rose, passionate raspberry, sparkling currant, tropical peach, sunny beige, and shiny caramel.

Labor Day Weekend:Friday

Kicked off the day with the girls by going on our date with MR. VALENTINO to see the movie...the last emperor. We were the first to arrive...actually (BEN) was. We caught up with everything and we laughed and laughed cuz that's what we do when we are together.

After the movie, which was just amazing and I could have watched it 2 more times...but I will be buying the DVD when the movie comes out. Because we were a little hungry we decided to go eat at Superior Grill on St. Charles Ave in get of course...rita's.

My first day home I left my charger for my Iphone on set so we stopped at the AT&T store after so I could buy another charger and decided to buy a car charger as well.

Then we pass by the W. Hotel to see all of my buddies. I figured it was a Friday night so everybody should be there. I texted that I was on my way. First stop was the Whiskey Bar. When we arrived it was packed full of men. I completely forgot that it was the Kick Off of Southern Decadence at the W. Hotel. The girls and I enjoyed ourselves Lane gave me a bottle of FIJI water and made me a drink. Not really sure what but it was really good. We went upstairs and in their Great Room was http://www.passportmagazine.com">Passport Magazine with Fashion Designer http://www.andrewchristian.com">Andrew Christian fresh off his stint with Bravo's competition "The Fashion Show". They were doing the Belvedere's Maceration Stations from 6-9pm so more drinks were flowin. Caught up with my girls BethAnn and Terri. Was also able to see my buddy Nicole Robinson...luv her!

After the fashion show we left, MISS SASSY headed home and I met up with hubby and my son and we went out to ELMWOOD. Grab some snacks in then headed home.
