Setting Up L'OREAL Paris lounge at SUNDANCE 2010

Today is pre-Sundance Film Festival 2010 in it has started off great. The L'OREAL PRO Makeup Artists girls (Tiffany & Vanessa) in I go to the Entertainment Weekly magazine lounge presented by L'OREAL PARIS which is GLAMXURIOUS... thanks to Larry and Chris (New Orleans guy) in their vision. The lounge has L'OREAL HIP COOKIES, L'OREAL HIP pillows, L'OREAL tables and a sexy ELNET hairspray station. I don't think any of the beauty lounge or suite was GLAMMED out like our lounge. I can't believe this is where we will work the entire Sundance Film Festival doing makeup & hair on the celebrities that will come in to get either full face makeup or touch-up's before interviews and pictures. The girls and I unpack our L'OREAL makeup kit's and set up our makeup and hair station. We have so many great new L'OREAL products from "Studio Secrets Professional, The True Match Foundation Roller, and The 24-hour Lash Boosting".

We also have a new L'OREAL product for men that is amazing, it's the "Hydra Energetic Eye Roller". My husband loves all of the men product from L'OREAL in he's not really a metro sexual type of guy. Well only with his hair, but I am sure he will love this new item as well as some of the celebs that will be coming in.

Later that day we walked down to Main and Heber Street to help set up the L'OREAL "Can I Help You" tent while Tiffany trained the new local brand ambassadors. The studio will be a mini color space where consumers will receive a mini makeup application in have a consultation with the hairstylist. Some of the great samples consumers will receive are the new HIP Studio Secrets Professional Crystal Duo Eyeshadow, and the Colour Riche Serum Lipstick.


After a full day the girls and I decides to grab some lunch and magarita's at a mexician restaurant.

First Night Out...Sundance Film Fest 2010

Our first night out in Park City Utah, for Sundance Film Festival 2010 the girls (Makeup Artist Tiffany & Hairstylist Vanessa) and I wanted to have a nice dinner before our big day at The Entertainment Weekly lounge presented by L'OREAL PARIS. So after walking up in down Main Street to find the perfect place the girls and I decided on Jean Louis Restaurant on Main Street. Before walking in a group was walking out in they all shared that we order the Lobster Mac & Cheese. We were greeted by a very nice frenchmen at the front door who was very friendly. He escorted us to a very nice table on the side were we could get comfortable. The ambiance was very sexy, red lights and very European.

We order the Sundance Martini to get in the Sundance Film Festival mood. We did order the Lobrster Mac & Cheese and it was amazing. The lobster were very large pieces not that small or grinded pieces that a lot of restaurant usually give. The cheese was plentiful that I was really full from that one dish.

Later into the dinner the Frenchmen we met earlier came over to introduce himself and it was the owner & chef Jean Louis Montecot's. He asked the waiter to bring us a very nice dessert and that to was amazing...

Indian Bollywood Bride-Domini

My past Bollywood Indian Bride Domini was such a great girl to work on. Domini allowed me to be a MAKEUP ARTIST :))) she let me select makeup colors that I thought would compliment her flawless skin as well as her personality. As you know I love working with Indian brides because they always want bold strong makeup looks. How can I forget the eyelashes that is always requested so I pull out my favorite from Shu Uemura because they wear very well. Domini was married in New Orleans at the RITZ CARLTON. It was an outdoor evening wedding so I wanted to make sure I kept her skin clean in used a lot of bronzer so the candlelight would highlight her face.


The only request that Domini asked for was to keep all her girls uniformed with dark eyes. So I selected L'OREAL HIP Cream Shadow Paint in Steely. This is a hidden gem of an item that can be used on all shades. You can easily apply with your fingers or the mini eye shadow brush that it comes with.







The lipstick color that I used is one of my personal favorite it's L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipcolour Lipstick in Aishwarya's Beige #809






For the second look I went with a darker lip color that was very sheer with great shine so I selected L'OREAL Colour Juice Sheer Juicy Lip Gloss in Candy Apple.

As a young girl, we grew up hearing “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed Something Blue.” Well, that something blue will be the new trend in 2010 for brides. Bright, bold cobalt blue will be seen more at weddings in the flowers, bridesmaids’ dresses, the brides’ shoes and even bright bold eye shadows.

At a recent bridal photo shoot I decided to play with an L’OREAL HIP DUO blue eye shadow in Forgiven that can be used in a more smoky way. Remember when wearing a strong eye you should keep the lip color very light and I went with NYX Cosmetics Diamond Sparkle nude lip gloss in Beige Sparkle.
So brides your something blue doesn’t have to be hidden anymore, it can be glamxuriously worn down the aisle.
